Just to let folks know - the old high school is going to be torn down very shortly, and a new one built where the old track used to be. The gym will remain, but kiss the rest of it goodbye! Some of the class reunions are having tours of the building, there might be other tours scheduled for the public, I don't know.

The 50th Birthday party was great, a big thank you to Charisse for putting it together and doing a lot of hard labor (much of it single-handedly) to make sure things flowed well! Also, thanks to all those who came from out of town to make the day special, and to Roger for the wonderful and useful souvenirs!

Other classes ask me why we seem so successful.
Well, if you look around the site, we have a number of people doing thankless jobs, quietly, with hardly a mention. Well, I am mentioning it.

People who mail invites from their own pocket. People who work very hard to maintain things like our database. People who decorate. If you have a skill that you would like to contribute, please contact Charisse or Me.

I guess the class of '76 is the class of hard work, and it shows.

That was one great reunion!! Charisse, you are an amazing ball of energy and it was a pleasure and a privilege to work with you. Reno, good job. That was a great location. Leslie, the hall was beautiful. Pete Tratter, you were a great DJ. Nice selections, and good job calling my table first (lol). There were many others who sent us materials (Sherry (White) Lewis) and those who joined forces with Charisse to contact us (Mike & Sue (Fazekas) Reville and Cindy & Jim Krolikowski). It was great seeing all of you at that reunion. See you again in about 2 years. In the mean time this site will still be here as long as I don't end up on the fallen list:)

It was an honor and a privilege to organize our 30-year reunion for the wonderful group of classmates that attended on Friday. It was truly a pleasure seeing everyone again and getting reacquainted. I really enjoyed these past three months reconnecting with everyone - I had tons of calls to make and was a little hesitant, I didn't know how the suggestion for a reunion would be received, but, for the most part was treated with enthusiasm and appreciation for taking the task on. Friday was so much fun - we have an amazing class (Howard still can't believe how active our website is!). So thank you to everyone for the wonderful response and an awesome evening! How very special each of you turned out to be!!

I made the header smaller. It is no longer symetrical with the side menu, but at least people with lower resolution will be able to have some space in the main window to see pictures, etc. It also should help those with tool bars in the Internet Explorer.

Hi folks. Glad everyone is enjoying the site, especially the pictures. The bad thing about the internet, is that it is all typed messages, so noone can judge the inflections which would be in your voice if you are kidding about things, so be careful when making comments on the pictures of people. It is easy for feelings to be hurt innocently. We do occasionally police those comments, and I have already deleted some that were believed to be negative. Especially if Charisse and I both think so. There are a variety of smiley face symbols you can add so that the inflection would be more easily read. Please use those, and thanks for all the support you have given us. Also, this guestbook must have been broken for a while. PLEASE email me if that happens so I can fix things. Thanks

Problems that may have been due to the move to a new server, or maybe not. #1 I know for a fact that some comment files are corrupt now, and some comments are not showing up in the photo album. For example, on my photo, Steve Park left a comment. The comment is still in the file, but it isn't showing up on the screen. #2 The dates of the comments are in European format dd/mm/yy instead of what you are used to seeing mm/dd/yy. There is no option to change that on that software, and when I have time I will edit the code.

Having lost touch with my class from Maple Hts a very long time ago, it's fun to fast forward with this website, and to see some of my childhood friends all grown up. About me; After finishing college I moved to the SF Bay Area of California and this has been my home since. Who says a kid from Maple Hts never amounts to anything? We had at least one who did. Bruce Grooms didn't just join the military like I did. His outstanding academic achievements as well as his althetic ability earned him a seat at the U.S. Naval Academy. Not only that, but he currently holds the rank of Captain (that's a full bird colonel to the Army, Air Force and Marines) and is the 81st Commandant of the Naval Academy. Trust me folks, he has commanded a lot of sailors in his day. The truth be told, to survive and in fact thrive at his level, you must be a man of honor. To beat all else, Bruce Grooms is the 1st African-American Commandant in Naval Academy history! This guy has so many military and academic achievements, click here to learn more.
